The State Library as approved the Per Capita Grant. God only knows when we will receive the money. 4. The workman comp claim is winding down. I have a claim number and recorded an injury report for Pekin. 5. Jordan applied for unemployment. I appealed the claim based on misconduct. 6. The book club selection for November is “Girl in Translation” by Jean Kwok. David orders more copies than the book club needs because other people see the notice and request the book. 7. Joe is applying to the SIU-E School of Pharmacy. I have written a recommendation. 8. We are once again hosting a Community Christmas box. The usual donations are being requested. 9. Monthly statistics will be distributed at the board meeting. 10. Youth Services: The movie shown for family movie night was “Spooky Buddies”. 27 children and a few adults were in attendance. Pre-school and after-school story time themes were centered on Halloween. Some afternoon Wednesday story times have less attendance due to the church across from the elementary school having activities every Wednesday afternoon. The SWAYS monthly meeting was held at the O’Fallon Public Library. The performer’s showcase will again be held in January at the Fairview Heights Library. |
